A beautiful journey through the clouds
Sky Dice was my third project during my year in Digital Bros Game Academy. It’s a mobile game commissioned by WhatWapp, based on a dice rolling mechanic.
We created a floating world full of mysteries and adventure, but facing up several problems, first of all the metrics and the dice probability checks. I worked a lot with in-engine metrics and, with the help of some scripts, we managed to create a dice tossing experience that felt quite addictive for the audience. After that I started to create all the characters that lived the Sky Dice’s world in collaboration with the concept artist.
Four characters, each of them with its own story, took life in a friendly and fascinating world that managed to be awarded with the Best Execution prize in the academy among all mobile projects.
The project was created in a month and all the team worked well in a very pleasant mood.
